2011 Festival Is On Now!

June 9th, 2011

The first three nights of the festival have been fantastic! Great food, great fun and lots of prizes! The dunk tank was a refreshing distraction for kids all night in the 90 degree heat and Fr. Tom, Fr. Bud, and Mrs. Gannon were all great sports about getting soaked. Stop up tonight and Friday night as well for some of the best fun in the county.

Don’t forget that our Sit-Down Roast Beef Dinner run by Mrs. Wilkie’s and her team kicks off the festival on Saturday night at 5pm right after 4pm Mass. It is held in the SMOS Cafeteria and is $10 for adults and $6.50 for kids. Advanced tickets are available but you do NOT need them. You can pay right at the door.

Features of this year’s festival:

  • Dunk Tank – Located on the hill by the pavilion. Kids can pay to get wet. And every night we raffle off one celebrity adult “target”.
  • Top Dogs Cart – The BEST Hot Dogs in the tri-state area! Try their Pulled Pork sandwiches and their Secret Special Spicy Pepper topping.
  • ATM – This year there’s no excuse for running out of cash!
  • 50/50 Raffle – It pays out EVERY night! Plus there will be $1,000 and $1,500 winners on Saturday!
  • Chinese Auction – You could win an iPod Touch, a Fender Guitar, over $700 worth of restaurant gift certificates, a Steeler’s shirt, a signed Pirates bat and tons of other fantastic auction items – ALL WEEK LONG.
  • Max & Erma’s – Will be open and selling burgers on Fri. & Sat. nights.
  • Italian Bread Place – Pepperoni  Rolls and Stromboli from the Italian Bread Place!
  • D Bean - Delicious Italian Hoagies from D Bean!
  • Bake Sale Booth – All homemade baked goods from members of our Parish and school communities.
  • Fresh Fruit Bowl – Joe Nardozzi and the Holy Names Society have fresh fruit and whipped cream for a cool treat!
  • Kinda Karaoke – At 9pm – the DJ invites anyone to come up and sing “Kinda Karaoke” (that’s where you sing along with the song and have to remember the lyrics)
  • Ferris Wheel - The famous Rhinehart Family Ferris Wheel offers the best views and breezes of the festival. Particularly nice after dark.
  • Sit-Down Roast Beef Dinner – Mrs. Wilkie and her team are cooking up a fantastic dinner on Saturday night at 5pm in the cafeteria: Roast Beef (chicken fingers for the kids), St. Margaret’s Potatoes, Salad, Roll, Dessert
